Megane is a very large 4-seat saloon, luxurious and comfortable, and characterized by its external and internal mobility. It was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1988. Renault always created beautiful automobiles and especially concept cars. Megane hasn’t lost its fresh and original style for the last 10 years. Megane is built as a research tool for it's maker's next generation of models. A lot of new ideas were tested on it. It`s possible to assume that many of them will appeared on the custom cars for the mass. All four wheels of Megane are driven and steered. The auto-adaptive suspension is electronically controlled and the gear-box offers two modes of operation, manual or automatic. The V6Turbo engine produces 250 hp. which is enough to permit a maximum speed of 245 km/h.

Megane has high comfort level. All the doors and windows, and seats, are electrically operated with the position of the driver's seat electrically memorized. The rear section of the cabin can move to back by 35cm to add extra cabin space. This transformation of body changes the Cx from 0.21 to 0.22. Every door is managed at the distance thanks to a infra-red emitter control. This control desk also has memo card which stores information about adjustment of the driver’s seat and steering wheel.

But the principle feature in that time is four sliding sidedoors. They are open wide to provide easy access to both rows of seats. There are no center pillars, besides, the front seats can pivot, that of the driver though 60degrees to easy entry, that of the passenger though 180degrees so as to face those in rear. Sliding platform helps You to put luggage at the cargo place. All of this features provide great flexibility for the all units at the occupant area that makes any trip comfortable and pleasant.
